Located in the heart of the truly beautiful settlement of Chora, one of the most picturesque villages of the Aegean and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, St John Villa provides a truly fascinating arrangement. Ideal for extended families or a group of friends, the Villa was originally built in 1542 and as such is one of the oldest houses of the captivating maze of white-washed houses and alleys that comprise the unique village of Chora. Offering modern amenities that blend perfectly with antique furniture and local touches while respecting local architecture and traditions, the fully renovated Petra Villa is indeed one of the most beautiful Patmos villas that will certainly enchant even the most demanding visitors.

The Villa consists of four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and can ideally accommodate up to 8 people, while its maximum capacity is for 10 people (including children). Bedrooms are equipped in total with three queen-size beds, two twin-size beds, while children may also sleep in two twin-size beds, one in a bedroom and one in the top-floor sitting area. Baby cots may be provided upon request.

Standing serenely on a hillside overlooking the area of Campos, villa St George is probably one of the most tasteful and elegant summer homes of Greece. The secluded rural surroundings grand this stone built residence with the gift of absolute silence, disturbed only by the soothing sounds of nature and the odd bell-ring of some passing-by sheep.

In perfect harmony with the magical quality of the light that defines this spiritual island, this four bedroom villa is down to its last detail designed to induce a sense of ultimate relaxation. The property consists of the main house and a guesthouse, each designed in the same principles of serenity, comfort and space. The absence of color grants the interior the quality of a sanctuary, letting the sun and the moon paint the surfaces with their own seductive palette. Raw materials blend beautifully with contemporary touches in the form of furnishings and decorative features.

The upper level living room and master bedroom are vast, with large openings that offer majestic views of the bay. Located in the town of Patmos, ideally situated on a slope overlooking the port of Patmos and the infinitely blue Aegean, villa St. Martin’s is a grand holiday residence that portrays a close integration of building and landscape. The pavilion is surrounded by trees, yet conveys a sense of intimacy inspired by the monasteries of Patmos. Exposed stone is used for the exterior, bringing the structure in contact with the earth. An enigmatic entrance courtyard where dramatically placed high arches divert attention from the building leads to an internal patio. Serving as a buffer between the social and the intimate spaces of the house, the patio is a serene place with natural light coming in, granting it with a monastery like atmosphere.

A sky blue wooden door leads to the main living areas of the residence which are infinitely spacious, yet somehow convey a sense of intimacy. Unexpected elements such as striking colors are combined with traditional furnishings and decorative features that pay respect to the island’s tradition. The structure includes a large, fully equipped kitchen that serves a generous dining area. An external staircase takes us to a scatter of cubic structures that serve as bedrooms and guestrooms, creating different environments and taking advantage of a variety of views. One of the highlights of the pavilion is the upper terrace that allows for uninterrupted views of the magnificent surrounding landscape. All in all, this imposing villa is the perfect getaway for the sophisticated visitors of Patmos, who wish to slow down and sink in the atmosphere of joy and spirituality of this unusual island.

Located on the eastern borderline of the Aegean Sea, Patmos is the northernmost island of the Dodecanese island group. Its interesting landscape features low barren hills succeeded by small plateaux, while its lacy coastline is deeply intended by tens of promontories forming countless picturesque bays and coves.

With a mostly dry climate, the island is regularly visited by north winds, bathing into the sunrays for 3000 hours out of a year. Situated at a distance of 158 nautical miles from the mainland port of Piraeus, it covers an area of 34 square kilometres with greatest length of about 25 kilometres.

The laid back pace really draws you in, while the air inspires to take full advantage of the season at hand. The waters revive you and the sun seems to shine with magnified rays making you feel unique and alive.

No words can describe the earth spirit present on this island, it’s a geophysical phenomenon that not everyone can feel or see.

The monastery really overwhelms you. It is visible from almost all the places on this scenic little island.

Driving or riding around is really uncomplicated, you wont find a single traffic light on the roads that swerve and turn unfolding a new spectacular view at every curve.

The bible is the worlds' best selling book. All reading enthusiasts know of the Book of Revelations, but not everyone is aware that it was written on Patmos or why a book about so much destruction was written in a place so beautiful and peaceful.

Saint John the Divine (also known as the beloved disciple of Jesus) was sent here in exile, Patmos in those days it was a place for criminals because it was so inaccessible.
