Take a 45-minute stroll south through the olive groves to Agni Bay, famous for its high-end waterfront tavernas. If you head north, the 15-minute journey to Kassiopi rewards you with a bustling harbour, lively boutiques, and the weathered ruins of a Byzantine castle.

Mount Pantokrator:

For the ultimate vista, ascend to Corfu’s highest peak. Whether you drive or take the more demanding hiking routes, you’ll reach a historic monastery at the summit, where on a clear day, the views stretch across the Ionian to the mountains of Albania.

Day Trips:

For a dose of history, head 50 minutes south to Corfu Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Venetian architecture and labyrinthine cobblestone alleys (kantounia. Alternatively, book a boat excursion to the stunning turquoise lagoons of Paxos and Antipaxos, or cross the sea to explore the archaeological ruins of Butrint in Albania.

The best beaches to enjoy in or near Kalami:

Kalami Beach (0km):

The main beach—a sweeping crescent of white pebbles and translucent water.
Type: Pebble.
Activities: Swimming, sunbathing, and boat hire. It is the social heart of the village.

Kouloura Beach (approx. 2km):

A tiny, incredibly charming horseshoe-shaped bay protected by cypress trees.
Type: Pebble.
Activities: Photography and peaceful swimming; it is perfect for those seeking isolation.

Kerasia Beach (approx. 3km):

Often cited as one of the most beautiful beaches in the north.
Type: Large white pebbles.
Activities: Quiet relaxation and snorkeling. It’s surrounded by lush greenery, giving it a private, exclusive feel.

Agni Bay (approx. 5km by boat / longer on foot):

A small but vibrant bay known for having some of the best tavernas in Corfu.
