Barbados is the most easterly island of the Caribbean. The island is 166 square miles divided into 11 individual parishes and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The capital, Bridgetown is very similar to London with big ben and many other English monuments and has some fantastic fish restaurants on the island.
Barbados enjoys over 3000 hours of sunshine each year, whilst the weather is almost always sunny and warm the constant north-east trade winds cool it down. The average daytime temperature ranges between 29-31 Celsius and summer temperatures rarely exceed 32 degrees Celsius. The Language

The time difference is four hours behind GMT in the winter and 5 hours behind in the summer. Getting around
Driving is on the left side of the road and the majority of vehicles are right hand drive. The island has an extensive road network and paved roads, there are a number of ways to get round the island by hired car taxis and buses are all safe reliable and convenient.
