From his bouncy youthful films where Cliff and his pals always seemed to be on a bus and going nowhere in particular and everyone knew the words to "bachelor boy" and "Congratulations to the haunting "Day I met Marie".

Then forwards to the 70's and Cliff's more edgy "Devil Woman" when it was de rigour to only have one glove no matter how many hands you possessed? The 80's when Cliff's anthemic Christmas songs became as much part of Christmas as wearing ill fitting paper hats and getting thraped at Pictionary. Over the years,  I have followed this man his music and now... His wine!

My homage brings me to Vida Nova Cliffs Vineyard in the beautiful Algarve. Villa Select offers Villas only walking distance from Cliffs winery, vineyard and house. Unfortunately you cannot tour the house or get to meet our own beloved "Peter Pan of Pop" but you can have your picture taken by the gates to the estate. For me that was enough to be so near to the man who's music in many ways has been the soundtrack to my life. I knew as I stood by  his beloved vineyard that he was  in the breeze rustling in my hair the warm Algarve sun on my face.
