None of us wanted to leave the villa and we would have loved to live there forever – something we have never ever been able to say of any other holiday.
Dear Sir/Madam,
We returned from our stay in Villa Vida Nova in Monchique on July 23rd. We had a fantastic time and the villa was superb. I now fully understand why an inventory deposit was required as it was , by far, the most well-equipped, and highest spec. villa that we have ever stayed in. We did not break or damage anything during our stay.
My questions are; when can we expect our £150 deposit to be returned?; will the deposit be returned directly to the debit card with which we paid?
As a little feedback, the only two "faults" that we could find with this villa was that the pool was too cold to swim in for any length of time. In an absolutely ideal scenario we would have preferred it heated; in the second bedroom, on the first floor there was a strange smell, it wasn't insufferable but I would love to have known where it was coming from. None of the other rooms were at all affected and my daughter didn't seem to mind it. (I first thought it was coming from a vase on the dressing table which seemed to contain chick-peas and lentils. It was only after removing it from the room and examining it (this time with my specs on) that I realised it was small decorative stones! It was definitely a musty chick-pea sort of smell though.
In the grand scale of things these were two very minor flaws. None of us wanted to leave the villa and we would have loved to live there forever – something we have never ever been able to say of any other holiday.
We will definitely be looking at Villa Select again next year.
