Villa Ifandis Description

Meander your way up the hillside towards Old Skala in Kefalonia and you will find the unique Villa Ifandis tucked away from its neighbouring villas yet still enjoying with magnificent views of the stunning sea and Greek Islands in the distance. The air is filled with the fragrance of herbs such as rosemary, thyme and sage and this really is the spot for a peaceful and tranquil holiday escape from the everyday buzz of day to day life. A great location for all types of holidays.

The entrance to the pretty property in Kefalonia is on the upper level and here there is a twin bedroom with bathroom en-suite and doors onto its own balcony and those wonderful views. Stairs then lead down to the ground floor and here is the comfortably furnished kitchen/dining/sitting area. This area is totally open plan and gives the villa a light and airy feel. The kitchen has dishwasher and washing machine for your added convenience and the lounge is equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, CD player and Playstation 2. For those that like to keep in touch with the outside world, the villa has wireless internet (please bring your own computer).

The double bedroom is also on this level and has shower room en-suite and doors onto the front terrace. Patio doors lead from the main living accommodation onto the front terrace and here there is a shaded seating area for reading and relaxing.

The 7 metre pool has steps into the shallow end and can be heated upon request*. The brick built barbecue provides the perfect reason to dine 'at home' enjoying the views and the twinkling stars of a night.

For those that like to keep active whilst on holiday, there is a nearby tennis court for the exclusive use of clients staying in the Old Skala village. There are also some great opportunities for cycling and hiking in the Kefalonia hills. A local taverna, with sea view terrace, provides a taste of local cuisine and there is also Wi-Fi internet available at the taverna also.

Whilst access to the Old Skala village is along and up a tarmac road, we do recommend a car of 1600cc or above.

*Pool heating
The pool can be heated for your arrival at a charge of £250 for one week and £150 per each week thereafter. This is a pre-bookable and pre-payable charge. The pool is uncovered and open-air. The heating system is oil fired and heats the water in a similar way to a hot water boiler. The result is that it raises the water temperature by an average of 3 - 4 degrees centigrade. If the nights are very cool, or quite windy, then it can lessen the effects of the heating. Average early season temperature of the water is 22 degrees centigrade without heating and the pool heating will raise the temperature to around 25 or 26 degrees.
