As you enter the main Coral Stone entrance, a long stately drive flanked by mahogany trees leads you to Porters Great House.

One of Barbados' most historically important houses, the 22 acres of manicured lawns and woodland offer unrivalled tranquillity and privacy on the west coast. Built in 1660, the property underwent a complete refurbishment in 2006. During this careful restoration the house was fitted out for 21st Century living while also retaining its Colonial charm.

The main house has five air conditioned bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. A grand foyer, comfortable living room, formal dining room, reading room and a large indoor entertainment room complete the accommodation of the main house.

The swimming pool is complemented by a large coral stone pool pavilion with a fully equipped bar. Other outdoor facilities include a fourteen seated dining pavilion, a charming 300 year old church and a raised folly at the rear of the garden accessed by 80 coral stone steps. All indoor and outdoor entertainment areas use an integrated surround sound system with Ipod connectivity.

The kitchen at Porters is outfitted with the latest quality appliances and the house staff are available to ensure you are pampered and enjoy a relaxing holiday.

There is also a large one bedroom cottage on the grounds with all its own amenities, including a private walled garden.
