Villa Description

Nestling in the quiet, Cretan village of Chromonastiri, yet only 10 minutes drive to the beach and coastal area of Rethymnon. So lovingly restored by it's owners, the accommodation at this villa offers a most meditative feel with real rustic charm but with every modern convenience to provide you with the most relaxing holiday.

A flight of steps leads to the main entrance and into a spacious and refurbished lounge/dining area, with high ceiling, comfortable sofas, satellite TV (limited channels), DVD player and CD player. On this level also, is a twin bedded room with windows overlooking the courtyard. A smaller twin bedroom is located here also. These rooms share full bathroom with most modern fixtures yet harmoniously blending in with the style of the rest of the villa.

On this level also and with a separate entrance, is the master double bedroom, which has window which offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Internal access to this bedroom is available also. This room is furnished in bright orange colours giving it a real Mediterranean, warm, sunny feel. This room has its own separate sitting room and next to this is a restored Turkish 'Hammam' - a steam and hydro massage shower to really help you relax and unwind here. From the bedroom is a small veranda for you to enjoy that morning cup of tea or evening glass of wine as the sun goes down.

On the pool level is a separate apartment accommodation, furnished to the same high standard as the rest of this fabulous villa. Here is a beautiful double bedroom with wrought iron bed and again furnished in sunny orange fabrics. This room has full bathroom and has its own separate living area. Hairdryers are provided for your use.

With stone walls and ceiling and giving this room a cellar like feel, is the main kitchen area and boasts stainless steel work surfaces and all modern appliances with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Here is the most fabulous monastery style dining table to easily seat 10 guests. An ideal place to socialise and share those thoughts of the day.

Air-conditioned throughout and also with under floor heating for early and late season rentals.

The outside area us surrounded by stone walls to provide privacy and a relaxing place to enjoy the private 7 x 5 metre freeform swimming pool located in this courtyard area, pool towels are available for your use here. There is a brick built barbeque for those al fresco meals.

To holiday here truly feels like an escape from the outside world, a really unique property yet, within a matter of minutes walk, there are a couple of local cafes and tavernas and also a mini-market for provisions.
