Villa Description
Location, location, location! What else can we say about our Villa Islands View! If you were able to build your own villa high up overlooking the straits of Ithaca, just 10 minutes drive from Fiskardo, then this would undoubtedly be your choice.
Situated above open countryside falling away towards the sea this is simply one of the best locations in northern Kefalonia. Bring your binoculars and watch the ships of all shapes, nationalities and sizes as they ply their way from Italy through the Ionian Sea towards Athens and the eastern Mediterranean. Spot for rare and endangered monk seals, dolphins and rare birds. You will almost feel in command of the elements as you look down each day and enjoy the view.
Its location, apart from being breathtaking, assures you of peace and privacy, although not isolation as there is another villa on the opposite side of the drive behind the rear access of the villa.
The villa boasts most comfortably furnished lounge with feature fireplace, satellite TV (limited channels) and DVD player. Patio doors lead onto the front terrace, pool and those 180 degree panoramic views. Leading off from the lounge is the dining/kitchen, which again has patio doors onto the front terrace. The open plan kitchen is well fitted and comes complete with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
An inner hall leads from the entrance area to two of the air-conditioned bedrooms. The first is a twin with bath/shower and WC opposite, the second a double with shower and WC en-suite. Both rooms have patio doors onto the front pool terraces and superb views of the sea.
Stairs lead up off the lounge to the master bedroom, an attractive double with shower and WC en-suite and patio doors lead from the bedroom onto a large terrace and those breathtaking views below.
The villa is air-conditioned throughout for your added benefit. Outside taking pride of place to the front of the villa is the 7 metre pool with ladder access into a shallow end of 1.4m. This is set into spacious sun terraces, which are well furnished for both living and dining outdoors. There is a brick built barbeque for your added enjoyment.
If you can tear yourself away from this special place, the nearest shingle beach is Foki approximately 2 miles away, whilst the nearest mini market is at Maganos, a five minute drive. Fiskardo is approximately 10- 12 minutes by car.

Reviews
This was our second visit, and the weather was more settled than last time, which was much earlier in the year. We had forgotten quite how spectacular those views really are! We had sun every day except last Thursday - we took a trip to Ithaca, so the cooler day helped. The villa was very comfortable and well cared for. The pool man came early several times a week and was away by shortly after 8, so was quite unobtrusive. Similarly the maid was very efficient, well timed and departed quickly after slightly over an hour, so her twice weekly visits were not at all intrusive. Eat at Irrida's in Fiskardo! Also, the restaurant on the beach at the far end, near the ferry pier (on the left, as you look out of the bay) is very nice. The new villas built just down the hill (under construction at the time of our last visit) do not interupt the privacy at all. We had a lunch at Assos, another at Aghia Ephemia (having visited Antisamos) and spent one day visiting the south of the island. For the rest, we just chilled out in the most relaxing and comfortable circumstances, and had a really great break. Those views really are something else!
