Nestled in a rocky slope overlooking Ftelia bay, this recently built secluded villa utilizes a natural palette of materials to maintain a low profile while complementing the serene Mediterranean landscape that surrounds it.
Villa Jodie is comprised of one main house and three independent studios built amphitheatrically in two levels, each of them carefully designed in a sophisticated simplicity where the guest can both unwind and entertain friends with a minimum of fuss. The architecture is elegant and restrained yet totally functional, a marvelous contrast between the stocky strength of the whitewashed walls and the gentle grace of natural materials, like wood and stone. Outdoors, a large stone built shaded lounge/dining area offers a relaxing shelter from the scorching rays of the Mediterranean sun, while the infinity swimming pool gives fantastic views of Panormos and Agios Sostis bays.
The interiors are elegant and simple, complementing the architecture and providing a degree of sophisticated luxury.
The main house entrance opens to an open plan kitchen and a cozy, bright living room with full views to the terrace, with a comfortable master bedroom. A simple staircase leads from the terrace to the three lower level studios, featuring the same blend of minimalistic and traditional elements. Each studio has its own living room, open plan kitchen and bedroom with en-suite bathroom, all leading to a terrace with the same breathtaking view of the upper level.

This luxurious 5 bedroom residence affords spectacular views that extend all the way to the distant bay of Kalafatis. Although not a literal reproduction, the house recalls the vernacular design with its stark white walls and curved edges that soften its clean lined geometry. The landscape has been left untouched, to integrate the property to its harsh yet poetic surroundings.

Known for his contemporary lines, the architect acknowledges the location yet takes a more contemporary view. The outdoor area is perfectly attuned to the view yet deliberately designed. Polished concrete floorings contrast beautifully with the soothing emerald waters of the infinity swimming pool. The exceptionally large lounge and dining area is sheltered from the natural elements, yet offers panoramic views of the Aegean expanse.

There is nothing as conventional as a simple front door to take you into the house, just an arched portal that opens to the heart of the house. The veranda lies just beyond, visible through large openings that offer a first glimpse of the sea. The Mykonian aesthetics dictate the basic vocabulary of the house’s interior. Stark white surfaces and clean lines reflect the bold geometry of the exterior. The palette is natural, in soothing tones of beige, brown and grey. Simple yet elegant, the living room features high wooden ceilings and designer furnishings that are accentuated by the lack of ornamentation. The stylish dining area is served by a well-appointed kitchen. The bedrooms are bright and airy, with natural light piercing in through tall windows that blur the distinction between inside and out. The minimal decoration is complimented by a few antique pieces that grant a sophisticated touch. The interior retains, through its shapes, materials and colors, the coherence that the architect has established. Natural materials are dominant here too, with wood playing the leading part to most of the living areas. The owners have put their personal taste to every last detail, creating an elegant and comfortable environment that feels like a loving home. The furnishings soften the straight lines of the walls. Their shapes are voluptuous, the materials sensuous and the colors fresh and airy. The dazzling glitter of platter and whitewash of the exterior blends beautifully with the rocky surroundings, while the natural rock has been preserved at some areas as a natural decorative feature. The open and covered terraces offer a stunning view of the town of Mykonos, the sacred island of Delos and the nearby islands.

Built on three levels in various cubic volumes, this six bedroom holiday villa allows for privacy when desired. The interior is that of a modern house with just enough in the way of traditional style to give it a real character. The owners have taken on a more “theatrical” point of view when they decorated this house, using vivid colors, playful fabrics, artistic objects and paintings, which create an easygoing, relaxing atmosphere. The view is superb. True to the vernacular architecture of the Cyclades, this charming residence is a complex of cubical structures set in different levels, made out of stone and whitewash.
The outdoor areas are simple and spacious, featuring a charming patio landscaped with local greenery and a stone paved yard. The hacienda feel of the exterior is highlighted by the cactuses that have been placed next to the main entrance. The doors and window-frames are made of old wood to grant the building an old-style elegance. The pergola shaded veranda has been furnished with numerous stone built sofas with colorful cushions. Portman is a newly built villa that is located only a few steps away from Agios Sostis, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches of Mykonos. Muscular textures such as wood, stone and concrete are used in their natural form to reflect the raw beauty of the landscape. The palette is neutral, with the only hints of color coming from the sea and garden. The rooms are generous and restful, with high ceilings and stark white walls that create an ultimately relaxing atmosphere. Quality furnishings are complimented by attractive antique pieces and a few striking details such as graceful chandeliers and the art pieces that are casually placed throughout the house. Description

Set amidst an olive grove, villa Callas is a quiet haven and yet only a few minutes away from the vivid town of Mykonos. This three bedroom holiday villa is built as a cluster of sugar cubes piled together to create a typical picturesque Cycladic residence. The outdoor area features a lovely Mediterranean garden. The swimming pool and the adjacent sitting area are positioned to overlook the Aegean expanse. An impressive stone built dining area is perfect for entertaining guests while enjoying the cool evening breeze.

Spaciousness, airiness and comfort seem to be the key concerns in the interior, which features a cosmopolitan twist to the traditional Cycladic design. A double door leads to a reception area and a large living room. Large windows have been placed from wall to wall so that the sunlight is ample and the guest can fully enjoy the view. Natural materials like wood and marble in combination with the monochromatic palette infuse a sense of sophisticated simplicity. Furnishings have been kept to a minimum so as not to distract from the house’s generous volumes.

The decoration is minimal, with artifacts scattered around casually to add a touch of elegance. The bedrooms are decorated accordingly, with total white furnishings that aim to create an atmosphere of comfort. The upper floor bedrooms open to a private terrace with attractive views over the harbor and the nearby islands.

Description

The architecture of this luxurious four -bedroom house focuses on the modernism with lines and sharp edges, playfully combined with subtle curves for a softer aesthetic result. The whole terrace seems to be carved in a rocky slope, with a huge infinity pool in the leading role, complimented by comfortable lounge and dining spaces and an amazing BBQ area. Natural materials are the language that gives the residence its eloquence. Rock carries over from outside to inside, stacked and split to exploit its color and craggy texture.

Glamour was the key element when designing the interior. The living spaces are vast, giving substance to the sharp lines with a rich palette of materials. Rich marble floors and lacquered wooden furnishings fuse with strategically placed chandeliers and lighting fixtures to create a luxurious atmosphere.

The main living space has a loft-like feeling. Interior walls were deleted to fashion a space that is open and airy with a rationale that is functional as well as aesthetic. The kitchenpays homage to the family livelihood with a middle bench that can sit a large number of guests. The bedrooms are equally spacious, decorated in a contemporary style, yet each with its distinctive character. The same applies for the bathrooms. Two of them are decorated French style, with vanity mirrors and panes of clear and opaque glass. The other two are fully modern with hard lines and bold colors.

Set in a superb location overlooking the bay of Kalafatis, villa Alice is a beautiful summer home that feels totally private although in reality it belongs to a small complex. This gorgeous four bedroom villa was originally built as a family summer home and remained untouched until recently. The owner recruited a team of famous Athenian architects who renovated the house to modern standards without spoiling its local character. The result was a striking multi-leveled bundle of whitewashed cubes that blend beautifully with the polished concrete floorings of the terraces that wrap around the structure. The edges of the walls have been curved, as local architecture demands, thus creating the illusion of an absence of straight lines that softens the effect of the harsh Cycladic landscape. At nighttime, hidden lightings transform the main terrace with its pergola-shaded lounge area and adjacent swimming pool.

The interior is minimal in ornamentation, leaving the mind to relax and take in the beauty of the landscape. The décor is classic and elegant with touches of modern, reflecting the fusion of old and new that characterizes the house’s architecture. The palette is based on shades of white, beige and grey with only a few splashes of color in the form of odd wall-paintings or fabrics.

The main entrance leads to a charming small living room, ideal for reading a book or chatting up with friends. A small staircase takes us to the upper level, an inviting semi-open space with stone-made partitions and wooden ceilings. The living room is comfortable and inviting, with thoughtfully upholstered sofas and large windows that let the sunlight in. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for home cooking. The dining area is simple yet stylish and overlooks the small living room of the lower level.

The bedrooms are accessed through the foyer of the ground level, a minimally decorated space with a small sofa and a coffee table. All bedrooms are cozy and bright, with comfortable beds and beautiful en-suit bathrooms. The three double bedrooms lead to terraces, while the single bedroom has direct access to the swimming pool.
