Menorca is an island of beautiful sandy bays and glorious open countryside. It is the second largest of the Balearic Islands and is a relaxed and idyllic setting for a "get away from it all" holiday. The landscape is that of open countryside, farmland, rolling hills, golden sands, pretty fishing villages, whitewashed cottages and appealing resorts.
Sun, sea and sand is what most visitors are seeking and seldom are they disappointed. Menorca has more beaches than all of the other Balearic Islands put together. This natural beauty should remain untouched, as the present law prohibits any type of development within 100 metres of the sea. Menorca is just 35 miles long with approximately 120 beaches, coves, bays and harbours around its rocky coastline.

Mahon
Mahon (Mao) is the capital of Menorca and home to the second largest natural harbour in the world. The harbour itself is relaxing by day and buzzing by night. The city of Mahon dominates the port, the Georgian-style and whitewashed houses seeming to grow out of the old sea walls. Features such as bow and sash windows and door latches on some of the grandiose buildings in the labyrinth of streets in the ancient centre are not seen anywhere else in Spain.
With cafes and shops which still occupy the old stone buildings, impressive churches and the medieval stone archway contrasting with chic bars, Mahon is a place to spend your time on holiday wandering through time forgotten streets, taking in the true feeling of Menorca.
Cuidadela
Cuidadela was the former capital of the island. It has a cathedral, which dates back to the 14th century. It's port is one of the smallest in the Mediterranean and is overlooked by restaurants and bars. One of the best places to view the harbour from is the main square, which is home to the Town Hall which was once a fortress. The town is typically old fashioned and traditional with narrow streets and Moorish architecture.
San Luis
