Go and discover a fascinating world of over 8000 specimens, from 700 species representing the flora and fauna of the largest seas and oceans around the world.
Enjoy the impressive displays of live corals and its star attraction, the Big Blue. This is the deepest shark tank in Europe measuring in at an incredible 8.5m! No skimping out on the length and width either at 33m long by 25m wide.
With over 1000 live specimens and featuring ten HUGE sharks it is truly not a sight to be missed.
The aquarium also has a large garden area featuring Japanese pools and waterfalls. Here you will also find interactive aquariums (rays, turtles and hammerhead sharks) where you can get involved at feeding times. There is also a hand-on Touch Pool where you’ll get to pet creatures such as starfish sea urchins and sea cucumbers.
Palma Aquarium is dedicated to increase public awareness of the dangers facing Nature and the harm it is suffering, and problems facing marine life today. Current projects include ‘Save the Bluefin Tuna’, which has almost been fished to extinction in the Mediterranean Sea there is an educational section before the shark tank that highlights specific.
