Q.

Can I hold an option on a villa?

A.

We are able to hold short provisional options on one villa for 24 hours.

Q.

What deposit is required to confirm a booking?

A.

The deposit is 25% of the total villa rental(if booking outside of 10 weeks of departure). If you choose to book your flight seats with us then a minimum deposit of £75.00 pp is also required. If you would like us to provide holiday insurance (UK residents only), the full premium is payable at the time of booking. Please check the premiums and conditions of cover on our insurance page.

Q.

When is the final balance due?

A.

The balance must be paid no later than 10 weeks before departure.

Q.

Can I book online?

A.

We do not have the facility to make a booking on our website, we prefer to speak to each of our clients to ensure you have chosen the correct villa for your individual requirements. However outside of office hours, you can express an interest in a particular property on the availability page and we will call you as soon as the office is open.

Q.

Can I book my own flights?

A.

Yes, however, please remember that we offer a full booking service to you, including the booking of flights.  We are both ABTA (F9679) and ATOL (6094) and therefore your accommodation and flights are both financially protected when you book with Villa Select.

Q.

Is there a breakage deposit payable?

A.

A selection of houses do have an inventory deposit payable 10 weeks before departure. The amount varies depending on the villa between £200 and £500. If there is a deposit payable this will be clearly stated in the villa description. In villas which do not have an inventory deposit we rely on the honesty and goodwill of clients to report and replace any breakages.

Q.

Can we have an extra bed in our villa?

A.

A selection of villas will accept an extra bed at a charge of £50.00 per week. Extra beds are usually folding camp beds and therefore we feel that they are more suitable for children or teenagers rather than an adult.

Q.

What time is the villa available from and what time must it be vacated?

A.

We appreciate that there is no such thing as the 'perfect' flight timings that suits both your travelling party and also ties in with the villa occupation and vacation times. We want you to arrive to a villa that is fully cleaned and prepared for your arrival and in order that this can be done, the maids/owners must have uninterrupted access to all areas of the property therefore, your villa will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the departure day. When booking your own travel arrangements, please bear in mind the above information.

Are transfers /car hire included?

A.

We do not include transfers or car hire in the villa cost. We can arrange either with our local agents for you and full prices of both are clearly shown on our website.

Q.

Are towels and linen included?

A.

Bed linen is supplied at all of our properties. One hand towel and one medium sized bath/shower towel are supplied per person. Pool towels are provided for your use at each of our villas.

Q.

What is included in the welcome hamper?

A.

A welcome hamper is provided on all brochure priced holidays and will include some essential items for you to enjoy on arrival. The contents will vary slightly from resort to resort but normally include tea, coffee, milk, bread, water, wine, eggs and either chicken, tuna or ham salad, depending on resort, starter pack of toilet rolls, matches, rubbish bags, washing up liquid and a cleaning cloth. A vegetarian welcome hamper is also available.

Will my DVDs play on the DVD player in the villa?

A.

Where our villas are described as having a DVD player, this will have been supplied by the villa owner and is therefore outside our control. However, as all our resorts are in DVD region 2 (the same as the UK) it is reasonable to assume that DVDs bought in the UK will play with no problems. If you intend to take any region 1 DVDs there is no guarantee that these will play.

Q.

What are the maid's duties?

A.

Her basic duties are bed making, cleaning the villa (bathrooms, kitchens, floors etc.), sweeping patios and general tidying. Washing up and cleaning of barbecues are NOT included in her duties.

Do the villas have safety deposit boxes?

A.

The majority of our villas have safes fitted.

Q.

Are cots and highchairs available?

A.

We can arrange cots at a charge of £30.00 per week (including the linen) and highchairs at £15.00 per week. (In Menorca a cot is £35 and a highchair is £22)

Are there irons, ironing boards and hairdryers at the villas?

A.

All of our villas have irons and ironing boards and all of our 5 grade villas in all resorts, all Crete villas and villa Panorama in Cyprus have a hairdryer per double bedroom.

Q.

Do any villas have heated swimming pools?

A.

There are only 3 villa's which have a heated pool (solar powered) Casa Franz in Menorca, C'an Terrassa and Villa Alicia in Cala D'or.

Q.

Are any of the villas suitable for partially disabled passengers?

A.

The only villa which have been specially adapted to accommodate a wheelchair for partially disabled clients is Casa Francesca in Pollenca.

Q.

When will we receive our directions and tickets?

A.

Your tickets and final instructions will be sent out to you approximately 2-3 weeks before departure.

Q.

Does the property have air-conditioning?

A.

This is only available if stated in the description of the property and will be in the rooms as stated. On discounted holidays, there is a charge for the use of the air-conditioning, please check the charge with our reservations staff before booking, however, the charge is shown on the description page.

Q.

Can I take my dog?

A.

No pets whatsoever are allowed in any of our properties.

Q.

Can a child under 16 travel to Portugal without its parent or guardian?

A.

In accordance with the Child Abduction Act, any child (upto 16 years) travelling with an adult, who is not their parent or guardian, is required to be in possession of a letter giving appropriate consent from the parent or legal guardian and authenticated by a solicitor which includes a contact telephone number.
