Algarve F1 Autodrome Driving Experience.

We had the most wonderful treat and something totally unexpected, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any car enthusiast.  I tried the “taxi” experience and my son the “driving” experience at the new F1 track near Portimao in the Algarve in a Porche 911.  http://www.autodromodoalgarve.com The track is easy to find being sign posted from the motorway and when we arrived the friendly team were there to greet us at the paddock and get us all sorted out with some paperwork and protective gear etc.  In no time at all we were in the cars and in pole position on the grid ready to go.  Pedro took me twice round the track at full pelt and I was grateful I was not in control of wheel as the corners appeared out of nowhere.  John was taken round by his instructor for the first lap who explained the layout and gave him some tips and then it was his turn to try his hand at the helm.   The adrenaline rush was unbelievable!  I will never forget it and I have a DVD of the two laps as a souvenir.  Thank you Villa Select for organising it and for our Villa Select Club Discount which paid for our post race celebrations!
