Villa Bella Vista Description
Villa Bella Vista as the name in Spanish implies means "fantastic view" and this villa certainly lives up to its name. Perched high on the cliff just behind the main centre of Cala Galdana and the Hotel Cala Galdana, close to one of the best viewing points in the whole of the resort, it boasts some truly spectacular views of the beach and the bay on the other side. Your breath will surely be taken from the moment you set your eyes across the beautiful coastline. A spectacular addition to our villas with a pool in Cala Galdana, Menorca.
You enter the villa through a lawned garden towards the porched entrance and from here into a spacious hall. At the bottom end of the hall is the most comfortably furnished split-level lounge/dining room, which has a formal dining area as well as a cosy lounge with open fireplace, flat screen digital satellite TV (limited English channels including BBC) and DVD player. Patio doors lead out onto the upstairs terrace, which is well furnished for relaxing and enjoying a perfect glass of wine whilst revelling in those wonderful views across the bay. Next to the dining room is the well fitted kitchen and this has fridge/freezer, microwave and there is a washing machine located in the adjacent laundry.
On the opposite side of the hall a further inner hall leads to the bedroom accommodation. The first two bedrooms are pretty twins and face forward over the outside terrace to views of the sea. There is a small single childs bedroom (not air-conditioned) facing the gardens and these rooms are serviced by the adjacent family bathroom. The end bedroom is the master double and this has air conditioning and full bathroom en-suite. Patio doors lead out from the bedroom to the front terrace and those glorious views once again.
All bedrooms are air-conditioned for your added benefit (except childs single room).
The outside living area is simply delightful at Bella Vista and is reached from the front entrance by way of a path around the house to the level below. This area is self-contained and on the right of the pool is a large open area with sun loungers, whilst the 10 metre pool itself is superb and has a shallow end for children. To one side of this is an enclosed covered terrace and a fully functional kitchen, which has a dishwasher and built in barbeque, which compliments this. Finally on this level there is a further shower room with WC for use whilst enjoying this special oasis under the sun.
Simply a great family villa so close to all the amenities of Cala Galdana. With so many activities on offer at your doorstep, for example some fantastic walking in Menorca, this is an excellent choice for those looking for luxury holidays in Menorca.

The name of this villa says it all - an absolutely fantastic view of the sea and resort. The villa itself was very clean, tidy and had had all appliances that we needed, however it would be useful to have some further oven instructions! I wish we had of known that there was also towels included.(we knew about the pool towels but the bathroom towels were there too!)
Plenty of storage and a safe also. The balcony was good to have but it remained in the shade most of the day!
Due to the fact that the villa was up a very steep hill, the villa had a few steps inside leading down to the lounge area and also to the bedroom corridor and the outside balcony, which meant the children had to be very careful. The villa had lots of space in the rooms and the lovely addition of the outside pool area was great. It was hard to imagine when we read the description on the web site how you gained access to the pool and dining area on the lower level. You have to go back out of the front door and go down some steps. You are then at the pool and there was the additional dining room and changing room with toilet and shower. There was also awnings that could be pulled over part of the pool side for extra shade. The downstairs dining room and kitchen were lovely to have but a little difficult to use when all your food was upstairs but great for a bbq!
Overall, the villa was great and had everything we needed for a family holiday and the resort was fantastic. The beach was so clean with great shower and toilet facilities. Plenty of places to eat and great water slide for children also. Although we hired a car, we didn't use it that much as Cala Galdana had everything we needed.

The location and the clodition of the villa was excellent. The welcome pack was particularly good. Well recommended for a quiet break. There are lots of resturants, good beach and nice walks.
